September 18th, 2009 I crashed my B-24 airplane at Bomber field in Monaville, Texas. It was a sad day. I had spent three years building this airplane. To my surprise, I was able to get another B-24 kit for Christmas. I am very grateful for this and thought it would be neat for everyone to see the building process of this plane. This blog will document from the start of the plane to the first flight of the plane.
Here is what the kit looks like right out of the box. Lots of foam, fiberglass, and vacumed formed parts. The foam blocks have the wings cut out already by a hot wire.
